Circles is a generative, interactive audio-visual work. SONAR sensors detect a viewer's presence and use proximity to change the key, melodies, and effects.
When someone enters the work, each video pixel becomes a small paintbrush moving across the screen. The images are generated in the moment, so no two pixel paintings are the same. The system also uploaded those paintings online as a changing record of the installation.
